Crockett: Alameda man killed in fatal motorcycle crash near I-80 ramp
A motorcyclist died after a crash near an Interstate 80 ramp Tuesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
At 3:42 p.m., CHP Contra Costa officers got a call about a solo motorcycle crash on the Pomona Avenue on-ramp to westbound I-80 lanes, the CHP said.
Arriving officers and emergency crews found a Harley Davidson Superglide motorcycle on the on-ramp pavement, but no driver in sight.

Larry Orr, 65, crashed on the Pomona Avenue entrance to westbound Interstate 80, the California Highway Patrol said. The crash propelled him onto Wanda Street, underneath the I-80 flyover.
