Hayward man dies after car plunges into water near Oakland airport
The man had apparently been traveling westbound in the 7200 block of Doolittle when the car, a Toyota Camry, left the roadway and went into the water, police said.

The driver who died after crashing into the waters near Oakland International Airport Friday was identified Saturday as 23-year-old Robert Ray Custer IV.
Authorities said Custer apparently lost control of his Toyota Camry while driving west on Doolittle Drive near Langley Street and went into the water along the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline. The crash was reported at about 8:12 a.m. Friday.
