4 Men Carjack Uber Driver’s Toyota Then Flee After Crashing It In SF Richmond District

According to the weekly update written by the SFPD’s Richmond District police station, officers detained the suspect who punched the Uber driver as the suspect allegedly waited nearby for another Uber driver to pick him up.

A carjacking of an Uber driver's vehicle in San Francisco ended in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday. Police recieved reports of the carjecking at 12:26 AM Wednesday near the intersection of 10th Avenue and Geary Boulevard. The Uber driver was standing outside of his car when four men surrounded him. One of the men punched the driver in the face and all four of the men got in his car and drove off. The vehicle was located 20 minutes later after the suspects had crashed the stolen car into a parked vehilce at 11th Avenue and Anza street. The suspects had fled from the vehicle.
