Impaired driver hits bicyclist in Mission, flees the scene
A 19-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night after she allegedly hit a bicyclist with her car in the Mission district while under the influence.
A 30-year-old man was bicycling north in the bike lane on Valenica Street when a 19-year-old woman veered into the bike lane and pinned him against a parked van. The driver then fled the scene, and the man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening internal injuries. After the incident, police located the woman and arrested her. She is believed to have been driving under the influence at the time of the crash.
