Two people died in a car crash Saturday evening in Sunnyvale, a public safety officer said.
The crash was reported at about 6 p.m. on the Central Expressway just east of North Bernardo Avenue.
A 2-door coupe was traveling east on the Central Expressway when the driver lost control of the car and it struck a tree in the center median of the road, Sgt. Ken Chetcuti said.

Deepak and Singh were riding in a two-door Toyota when it went off the roadway about 5:35 p.m. Saturday and crashed into a tree, according to Sunnyvale public safety Capt. Vince Chetcuti.
