All told, four people were involved in the crash, including two who had to extricated, the Ventura County Fire Department said. The accident was reported at 10:17 a.m. Investigators remained on scene an hour later.
In addition to the person in critical condition, another person had moderate injuries, and both were taken to the hospital, authorities said.
