Woman and dog dead and 88-year-old driver seriously injured after he has medical emergency and car strikes building on East Marina Drive in Aurora, Colorado
The crash occurred in the 13900 block of E. Marina Drive around 11:24 a.m. The technical rescue team extricated two people from the vehicle.
Aurora Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Sherri-Jo Stowell said the people’s injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Investigators now say an 88-year-old man was driving with his wife in the passenger seat. They say the man suffered an apparent medical episode which caused him to lose control of the car.
