Dog killed, 2 people injured when car crashes into building in Aurora

The crash occurred in the 13900 block of E. Marina Drive around 11:24 a.m. The technical rescue team extricated two people from the vehicle.

Aurora Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Sherri-Jo Stowell said the people’s injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

Firefighters also checked the building for any structural problems because of the crash, but say no shoring was needed.

Investigators now say an 88-year-old man was driving with his wife in the passenger seat. They say the man suffered an apparent medical episode which caused him to lose control of the car.
