A passerby reported seeing a body on the road at 6:20 a.m. When authorities arrived, a woman believed to be in her 50’s was found dead. They believe she was struck by a car.
Police believe the woman’s car went off the road in an earlier crash and was on the shoulder seeking help when she was hit.

Police believe that after the crash, Augustian got out and began walking along the Interstate. They believe she was then struck by a car that did not remain at the scene.
