Driver In Fatal Hit & Run Suspected Of Intentional Run Down
Witnesses originally told police they saw a dark colored pickup truck, but police have said that description is incorrect. There is currently no suspect vehicle in custody, and police would like the public’s help in finding it. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
It was around 2:00 a.m. when two groups at a night club started arguing, and the commotion eventually moved to a nearby neighborhood, near the intersection of South Perry Street and West Kentucky Street. At some point, a black truck presumably driven by one of the people involved drove into the crowd and struck one person, before backing up and striking another. The vehicle then left the scene. One of the victims, identified as Armando Rodriguez-Uribe, 34, was pronounced dead after being brought to the hospital. The other victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police are still searching for the driver responsible; check back for updates as investigation continues.
