Fort Collins man killed Saturday in bike crash ID'd

Neither alcohol nor distraction are suspected in the crash. However, police "are working to determine whether the driver fell asleep while driving," police said. An investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
A bicyclist was killed when he was hit by a driver in Fort Collins on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m.. The truck driver, Earl Ong, 18, may have fallen asleep, according to authorities. The cyclist died at the Medical Center of the Rockies. Ong, of Fort Collins, was driving a Dodge Durango north on Lemay Avenue when he swerved to the right to avoid a collision and struck the cyclist who was riding in the bike lane.
