One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 285 in Park County on Tuesday morning.

The dump truck is owned by the Park County Road and Bridge Department and was being used to haul rock to Bailey, according to the CSP.
40-year-old Philip Leckburg was hauling rock to the north on Highway 285 in a dump truck when a southbound Buick crossed into his lane sometime before 9:00 a.m. Despite Leckburg's attempt to avoid a crash, the two vehicles collided head-on, and then both departed the roadway. The 76-year-old man who was driving the Buick was not wearing a seat belt, and died in the wreck. Leckburg sustained only minor injuries.
