Over 11,000 gallons of diesel spills, I-25 still closed after tanker crash

The fuel tanker crashed about 1:12 a.m. Saturday and became fully engulfed in flames. Crews extricated the driver, who suffered minor injuries, according to LFRA.

The crash happened at 1:12 a.m., and investigators believe the 67-year-old driver fell asleep at the wheel. John Brothersen of Henderson was cited for careless driving, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
