Hartford woman killed in hit-and-run, police charge teenager

Police say on Saturday, 56-year-old Rosella Shuler died at Saint Francis Hospital. On July 18th, Shuler was transported to Saint Francis Hospital for critical injuries after police say she was hit by a vehicle on Ashley Street and Sigourney Street.

Shuler’s daughter says she was relieved to hear that police had identified the driver, but she thinks all six of the teens who fled the stolen SUV that day should be charged.

On Sunday, a teenager, Deykevious Russaw was charged in the crash with first-degree assault, second-degree larceny, evading responsibility, reckless driving and operating without a license. More charges are pending.
