Man struck, killed by train in Naugatuck

Police are investigating as to why that man was on the tracks. Trains are being replaced with bus services for the rest of the night. Passengers were unloaded off the train involved with the help of the fire department.

Wolcott Man Killed on Naugatuck Train Tracks

He was struck around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday about 800 feet from the station, on the overpass south of Maple Street, according to MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan and Naugatuck police.
Police are investigating the death of man struck by a train in Naugatuck. A man was hit by a train 800 feet south of the Naugatuck Train Station, near the overpass located south of Maple Street.
