A little more than an hour later an officer spotted the stolen car, called for backup, and began pursuing the suspects.

The stolen car crashed into the Congregation Beth El Keser Synagogue.

Police ID 2 killed in crash after chase, carjacking in New Haven

Tommy Clayton Brown, 23, of New Haven, and Andrew Bolden-Velez, 20, of West Haven, were killed after the SUV crashed into Congregation Beth El-Keser Synagogue on the corner of Whalley Avenue and Harrison Street.
