Grover Moree, 51, killed, after he is struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking near Route 2 and Route 78 in the Pawcatuck section of Stonington, Connecticut

Police have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Stonington as 51-year-old Grover Moree, of the Pawcatuck section of Stonington. Moree was struck near Route 2 and Route 78 just after 5 a.m. Friday and was flown by LifeStar to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died, police said. Police said they are looking for a gray vehicle that fled the scene, heading north on Route 2. Authorities are following leads and continue to investigate.
