61-Year-Old Suffield Man Dead After Crash

One dead after speeding car runs stop sign in Suffield: Police

The officer’s radar measured the cars traveling at 60 miles per hour in a speed zone of 35 miles per hour.
A 61-year-old Suffield man was killed after a speeding teen driver collided with his car. A police officer saw two cars that seemed to be drag racing around 11 p.m. on Friday. The officer then saw that the car had gone through a stop sign at East Street intersection and crashed into a vehicle heading north. Collin McFarlane, 18, of Suffield, was the speeding driver who crashed into William Caruthers, 61, of Suffield. Caruthers was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
