New Canaan High student hit by car issued 'unsafe' warning
The teen was not using a crosswalk as he attempted to cross Farm Road, according to police, who said Tuesday that they had issued him the warning. He suffered minor leg injuries from being hit, police said.

“The pedestrian was attempting to cross Farm Road when a vehicle, traveling east on Farm Road, struck the pedestrian,” New Canaan Police Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said in a news release. “The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. The operator immediately stopped and remained at the scene.”
A New Canaan High School student, aged 14, sustained injuries after being hit by a car near the school on Farm Road. The 49-year-old driver hit the student as he crossed the road not using a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene. The student was transported to Norwalk Hospital with possible leg injuries. No charges against the driver have been filed at this time.
