Stamford police are investigating a crash that happened on Stillwater Avenue late Wednesday night. A 30-year-old Stamford woman was walking with a friend when they tried to cross the street. A car driven by 32-year-old Thomas Rodriguez slammed into the woman.
The woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Rodriguez, the driver of the car, stayed at the scene. Investigators think visibility may have been a factor rather than speed.
