One person is dead and five others are injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Bear, Delaware.The crash occurred at 10:15 a.m. Sunday on Route 1 and Red Lion Road.Delaware State Police say one person was killed.Five others were transported to the Christiana Medical Center.The accident closed all lanes of southbound Route 1 at Red Lion Road.State police are continuing to investigate.

A woman is dead and five others are injured, including a 9-month-old baby, after two vehicles collided in Bear, Delaware.The crash occurred at 10:15 a.m. Sunday on Route 1 and Red Lion Road.Upon arrival, paramedics said they found both vehicles rolled over down an embankment.The deceased, believed to be about 20 years old, was treated, and ultimately pronounced dead on the scene.Two 20-year-old males were treated on the scene, and transported to Christiana Hospital in serious, but stable condition.A 19-year-old male, 31-year-old woman and 9-month-old baby girl were transported to Christiana Hospital for minor injuries.The accident closed all southbound lanes of Route 1 at Red Lion Road.State police are continuing to investigate.

Woman killed in Sunday's Del. 1 crash was DSU student

One of the 20-year-olds was treated for a possible head injury before he was transported to Christiana Hospital in serious but stable condition, said Cpl. Abigail E. Haas, a New Castle County paramedic spokeswoman. Another also was treated for possible head, neck and back injuries before he was taken to Christiana Hospital in serious but stable condition, she said.
