Baird was northbound in the left lane of Del. 1, near the area of Fast Landing Road (Del. 42), about 1:50 p.m. when she lost control of her car, Fournier said. The Volvo spun into the grass median and onto the left lane of southbound Del. 1, where Brandon R. Cooper, 26, of Calhoun, Georgia, was driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
The front of the Volvo then struck the left front corner of the Jeep, Fournier said.
