Bicyclist critically injured in crash with SUV in Charlotte County
Troopers say the bicyclist was traveling north just after 9 p.m. Saturday, crossing Cochran Boulevard, when an SUV turned into Cochran Blvd. from US-41 and hit the biker. FHP says the person on the bike was not using the crosswalk in the area.

According to the report, the victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV has been identified as a 27-year-old Port Charlotte man, according to FHP.
