Woman died in a collision with a deputy at the intersection of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and Miromar Outlet Drive in Lee County, Florida

A marked Lee County Sheriff’s Office SUV was driving north on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, approaching a green light at the intersection of Miromar Outlet Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman ran through the red light and into the deputy’s path.
