LaBelle teen dies in SR-29 crash

A teenager was killed, and a Clewiston man was seriously injured in a head-on crash Monday night on SR-29 in LaBelle. Charlotte County deputies remain at the scene of a death investigation after a body was found in Punta Gorda on Saturday. A group of Punta Gorda teens were out fishing when they saw vultures and discovered the body. The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office spent another day at the scene, blocking off the area where the body was discovered. After the initial collision, a third car heading north was unable to stop in time and slammed into both vehicles.
