Florida Highway Patrol troopers say three people have died in a head-on crash on State Road 29 north of LaBelle.

Between the two vehicles there were multiple occupants, three of which are confirmed deceased and several transported to three local area hospitals.

Louis Angel Pena, of Sebring, was driving a 2007 Ford Expedition south on State Road 29 in Glades County early Nov. 22 when he crossed the northbound lanes and drove into the path of a truck, striking it head-on, according to a state police release.
