Fatal crash reported on Alligator Alley

At least two people died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Collier County early Saturday. Troopers on scene said a car traveling westbound on I-75 near milemarker 98 drove off the road, lost control and overcorrected.  There were five occupants in the car. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene and another died at Lee Memorial Hospital.

Patricia Trody, 65, of Lauderhill, died at Lee Memorial Hospital, and Sandra Long, 44, of Miami, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:30 a.m. crash on westbound I-75 near mile marker 98, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
