The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim, who has not yet been identified, was driving a tractor trailer south on SR 121, and did not see traffic ahead of him was stopped.
A man driving a tractor-trailer south on Sate Route 121 did not see traffic ahead of him stop and rear-ended a Mack truck driven by 70-year-old Charlie Clemons. The impact of the crash pushed Clemons' vehicle into the vehicles in front of him. The man driving the intial tractor trailer was killed, and while his name has not been released he is said to be 37 years old. Charlie Clemons sustained serious injuries and was taken to Shands Hospital. A passenger in his vehicle, Gary L. Williams, 32, sustained minor injuries. Harold Spillane, Lilly M. Busch, 69, and Amy O. Davis, 45, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
