Arelis Hillsgrove, 38, Tali Hillsgrove, 45, Daniel Gray, 29, seriously injured, transported to hospital, after a SUV is rear-ended by a car on State Road 207 in Elkton.

Two men and a woman were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Elkton, according to St. Johns County deputies.

Deputies said an SUV was heading northbound on State Road 207 at Maine Street about 9:45 p.m. when it was struck from behind by another car.

Both vehicles then ran off the road into the wood line, deputies said.

Arelis Hillsgrove, 38, and Tali Hillsgrove, 45, both of St. Augustine, were in the SUV. Daniel Gray, 29, of Palm Coast, was driving the car. All three had to be extricated by firefighters.

The Hillsgroves were wearing their seat belts, but deputies said it's unknown if Gray was.

All three were taken to Flagler Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said the crash remains under investigation, and speed, drugs and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.

Deputies said charges are pending.
