Giancarlo Arias, Daniella Marcano, Valeria Peña, Briana Pacalagua and Valeria Cáceres killed in wrong-way collision on Palmetto Expressway near Hialeah, Florida

A man driving the wrong way on a busy South Florida highway early Saturday crashed into another car, killing all five women in the other vehicle, authorities said.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alejandro Camacho, a man in a silver Infiniti sedan was driving east in the westbound lanes of State Road 826 near Northwest 57th Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

Officials said a man driving a silver Infiniti was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when he crashed into a gray Honda sedan with four women and one man. None of them survived. The Florida Highway Patrol later identified the driver as 30-year-old Maiky Simeon.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., a silver Infinity sedan traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes hit a gray Honda sedan, Camacho told CNN in an email.
