Merritt Island woman, 36, killed in Brevard County crash

A 36-year-old woman was killed early Thanksgiving Day morning in a single-vehicle crash in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash, troopers said. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise and came to a final rest facing south on the north side of the support pole, troopers said. Jessica Hebert, of Merritt Island, was traveling west on State Road 520 approaching the intersection of Kiwanis Island Park Road. The front left of the vehicle struck a large traffic signal support pole, troopers said.
