According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Dale Williams, of Orlando, was riding a 2007 Honda north on Tanner at a high rate of speed when he collided with a 2013 Ford Mustang going in the opposite direction being driven by Josie Moore-Boatwright of Grand Island. She was making a U-turn at the time at the entrance to East Lake Elementary School.
