Anthony Rubio, 6, Leila Persaud, 6, and Maylee Persaud, 8, killed, and several people injured in head-on car collision in Poinciana, Florida

POLK COUNTY -- The Polk County Traffic Unit is investigating a traffic crash that occurred last evening in Poinciana, involving two vehicles and three children that died. The hospitalized children -- Meliyna, Melanie, and Ariena -- are all expected to recover. PCSO would like to thank all of the Good Samaritans who stopped to assist, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, and Osceola County EMS. There were 10 total victims in this crash -- 5 per vehicle, 2 adults and 3 children each, all of whom were being assisted by other motorists and EMS when PCSO responded. Around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, a 2001 Lincoln four-door car being -- possibly driven by 25-year-old Javier Aguilar -- was heading westbound on Cypress Parkway approximately 1/4 mile west of Laurel Avenue in unincorporated Poinciana, Polk County.
