8 injured in Brevard fire rescue truck, SUV crash in Viera

Eight people, including two Brevard County Fire Rescue employees, were injured in a crash Friday night in Viera involving a fire rescue truck and a small sport utility vehicle. The crash happened just after 10 p.m. near the intersection of Viera Blvd and Stadium Parkway near a Space Coast Credit Union branch office. Two of those were were airlifted to an area hospital and two others were transported to a hospital by ambulance. Two fire rescue members were taken by ambulance to a hospital as well. Six people in the SUV were injured.
