During the initial collision, 29-year-old Micheal A. Bailey of Gulf Breeze pulled to the side of the road and left his vehicle to assist with Stewart.
According to FHP, an unknown vehicle came upon the scene and swerved into the median to avoid Stewart's Toyota. At that point, Bailey ran from the vehicle and into the path of Spann's pickup, which struck the pedestrian and then rammed into the Toyota while trying to make an evasive move.
