Fatal Crash in Leon County

LEON COUNTY, Fla. – A man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Leon County Friday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 28-year-old Antwoin Lewis, of Apalachicola, was driving northbound on Springhill Road just before noon on Friday. FHP investigators say Lewis was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle on a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees. Lewis was thrown from the vehicle and did not survive the crash.
