Troopers say Deanda was taking off his hunting gear outside of the vehicle when Forbes struck him and his car.

A Facebook post by Tallahassee Professional Fire Fighters says Captain Deanda was always going 100 miles per hour with everything he did, from fire fighting to cheering on the 'Noles. According to that Facebook post, co-workers and friends called him, "Captain D." They say he always had a smile on his face and was willing to do whatever it took to help others.
