According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Durden was traveling west approaching the McIntosh Rd. exit when he lost control of his 2009 Ford F-250 pick-up truck. The vehicle veered off the roadway and turned over several times in the median of the roadway.

Investigators say the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.

Both occupants – who were not wearing seatbelts – were ejected from the vehicle. It is not yet known if alcohol played a factor in the incident and no charges have been filed.
