Fatal accident investigated in New Port Richey
A fatal accident on Madison Street in New Port Richey early Friday morning is now under investigation.

A Mustang traveling at high-speed crashed into a power pole on Madison Street, tearing the Mustang in half. The driver of the car was killed in the accident. Debris spread down the street, and the power pole was broken, leaving 1,000 people without power. Crews worked throughout the day to clean up the road and restore the power.
