New Port Richey teen killed in crash

A New Port Richey teenage girl was killed Friday night after she was hit by a car. The accident happened just after 9 p.m. on Moon Lake Road south of Nassau Drive. The Florida Highway Patrol said the 17-year-old girl, whose name has not been released, and Chris Broffman, 14, were walking southbound on the right shoulder of Moon Lake Road in an unlighted area when a car driven by Paige Milhollen, 24, of New Port Richey drove past them and struck the girl. She died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

New Port Richey teenagers struck by car; one fatality

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- Two teenagers were struck by a car as they were walking on Moon Lake Road south of Nassau Drive in New Port Richey on Friday. Another RRHS student, Chris Broffman, 14, of New Port Richey, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment. FHP identified her as Marie Ellizabeth Pizzino, of New Port Richey. Pizzino is an 11th grade student at River Ridge High School. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:03 p.m. when a Ford Focus, driven by Paige Milhollen, 24, of New Port Richey, hit two teens walking on the shoulder of an unlit stretch of roadway.
