Girl, 4, injured in April 24 crash in New Port Richey dies
According to the New Port Richey Police Department, a blue 2011 Hyundai Elantra was stopped at a red light at the intersection on the northbound lanes of U.S. 19.
The light turned green, and a northbound 2004 Ford F-150 rear-ended the Elantra, police say.
Two children, ages 4 and 10, were in the backseat of the Elantra. Both children were taken by air to St. Joseph's Children Hospital with serious injuries.
A third child, age 5, and an adult passenger in the Elantra were taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital, while the driver was taken to the hospital by a family member.
