A wrong-way crash in Plant City resulted in the death of yet another Tampa Bay driver early Saturday, December 20. John J. Borota, 52, of Brandon, was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 pickup truck westbound in the eastbound lanes of State Road 60 near Cable Road at about 4:30 a.m. Borota crashed head on with Tyler N. Strickland, 28, of Lithia, driving a 2005 Ford F-250. Borota was declared deceased at the crash site, and Strickland was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital with critical injuries.
