Police identified those killed as Wesley C. McCurley and Michael P. Duffy, both of Sarasota, and Dane W. Custer, of Bradenton.
The other person in the car was expected to survive.

A fourth occupant, Thomas Bentley, was ejected from the car. He was taken to a nearby hospital and expected to survive. Bentley turned 21 years old Monday. The three victims were also 21.
