Just before 8 p.m., Anthony Pietrolungo, 67, got into an accident along Spring Hill Drive near Linden Drive in Spring Hill. He got out of his vehicle and walked across Spring Hill Drive, crossing into the path of a 2014 Ford Focus, troopers said.
A Spring Hill man was hit by a car and fatally injured Sunday night. After being struck, Pietrolungo was transported to Bayfront Health Spring Hill, where he later died. The driver of the Ford, 34-year-old Nikki Wortis, was not injured, nor was she immediately charged.
