One week after his death, friends and family gathered at the same spot and same time of the tragedy. His funeral had been held earlier in the day; mourners came to remember him and release red balloons in his honor.

He was riding his skateboard on train tracks near East Trinity Place and East College avenue when he was sruck by the oncoming train.
