One dead after tanker crash closes both sides of I-985 in Hall County Posted: Updated: A huge tanker crash has forced the closure of both the north and south bound lanes of I-985 in Hall County. Crews have given a clearance time of 8 a.m. for the south bound lanes. The north bound portion of the roadway isn't expected to reopen until around 12:15 p.m. Not much is known about the crash but the Georgia Department of Transportation says one person was killed. The accident happened near the intersection with Plainview Road in Oakwood around 6 a.m.

At the time of the wreck, he was hauling concrete powder in a truck owned by Carolina Ready Mix and Builder Supply, Inc., troopers said.
