From there, investigators say it's still unclear what exactly happened, but they say witnesses tell them Williams got out of his car, did not switch gears and the car ran him over as he was trying to move it away from the AC unit.
29-year-old Anthony Williams died early Sunday morning after police say he was run over by his car at Chase Homes on 1st Avenue. Police say Williams was driving his car down 1st Avenue when he swerved off the road and hit an AC unit at the complex. Williams got out of his car, did not switch gears and the car ran him over as he was trying to move it away from the AC unit. Williams was taken to the Midtown Medical Center where he underwent surgery. He was pronounced dead at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
