Authorities say the 55-year-old flight instructor and his 49-year-old student were riding in a single engine plane when it crashed Tuesday afternoon.

Police says the two were doing drills when they were swept up in a sudden wind change about 100 feet above the ground.

Details on the extent of their injuries weren't immediately available.
