GSP investigating fatal Bacon Co. crash(link is external)

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that took place at Fourth Street extension and Friendship Church Road on Thursday. Few details are known right now, but the fire department tells us a mother and child were killed in the two-car crash. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

The crash occurred at the intersection of West 4th Street Extension and Friendship Church Road in northwest Bacon County. Andrew Lewis was taken to Bacon Memorial along with the two drivers, but he also did not survive his injuries. Kristen Lewis was taken via AirEvac to Wayne Memorial in Jesup, where due to complications she was pronounced dead. A car crash involving two vehicles resulted in two fatalities in Alma on Thanksgiving Day. Kristen Nicole Lewis, 28, and her 5-year-old son, Andrew Mason Lewis, both died after of injuries they sustained during the accident.
