Alma woman, 24, killed in crash east of city(link is external)

A special team is investigating a near head-on collision that killed a young woman on Georgia 32 east of Alma, the Georgia State Patrol said. About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jamie Holden, 24, was driving a 2005 Toyato Camry eastbound about five miles east of Alma when an approaching 2011 Dodge Ram crossed the center line and struck the Camry in its traffic lane, the state patrol said.

A special team is investigating a near head-on collision that killed a young woman on Georgia 32 east of Alma, the Georgia State Patrol said. No one has been charged in the crash, and a Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident. The passengers were William Adams, 61, of Nicholls, and Johnny Norris, 43, and Ronnie Crowley, 54, both of Alma, the state patrol said. Tuesday, Jamie Holden, 24, was driving a 2005 Toyato Camry eastbound about five miles east of Alma when an approaching 2011 Dodge Ram crossed the center line and struck the Camry in its traffic lane, the state patrol said. Holden and Adams were wearing seat belts, Byrd was not, and the state patrol said it was unknown whether Norris and Crowley were wearing safety restraints.
