Donna Williams, 50, killed, and Ronda Fountain, 50, injured in single-vehicle crash into pole off of Old Dixie Highway in Springfield, Georgia

Georgia State Patrol is investigating a single vehicle accident on Old Dixie Highway near Silver Hill Church Road that lead to the death of one Springfield woman. The passenger has been identified as Donna Williams, 50, of Springfield. The driver has been identified as Ronda Fountain, 50, also of Springfield. According to officials with the Effingham County Sheriff's Office, the Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck left the road way and hit a light pole causing the passenger to be ejected. Her condition is unknown at this point, she was also not wearing a seatbelt.
